WALT DISNEYS LEGACY

WHAT DID HE LEAVE BEHIND WITH US

We all believe Walt Disney was a contributer to the world and gave many kids a big imagination but what did he leave behind so that still today people admire him?

Walt Disney made many animations and cartoons but the most popular cartoon has to be "Mickey Mouse" and that character has already gone done in history. Mickey Mouse is creation drew lots of attention when Walt was alive and probably draws more attention now that technology has gone way up since Walts time. Walt Disney even earned a Oscar

because of Mickey's creation for Mickey launching the companies fame, making audiences laugh, and for guaranteeing the Disney foundation decades of animation.

Next, another part of Walt Disney's legacy is his first animated movie. This movie was called Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Walt Disney’s decision to make Snow White, which was the first animated feature to be produced in English and in Technicolor, flew in the face of the popular wisdom at the time. Naysayers, including his wife Lillian, warned him that audiences, especially adults, wouldn’t sit through a feature-length cartoon fantasy about dwarfs. But he had faith in himself that it would be a great hit. And it ended to be a VERY good hit, expecially in Japan. This happened because Walt and the president of Japan signed an agreement to let Japan have the first looks at Snow White. Walt had an idea to make kids have fun while thinking imaginativly. So he created Disney Land. He knew that this project would take a long time but it was worth it.Even after Walt Disney passed from this life, his vision of the future held strong. He had established firmly in the minds of all those he came in contact with the vision he held of the future. Even today, some forty-two years after he died of cancer, Walt Disney continues to influence millions upon millions of people each year.
